Claudio is a well-respected and highly accomplished international Hair Stylist from Italy, who has worked with top hairdressers in major cities around the world. Drawing upon his Italian roots and combining his European influences, Claudio has developed an extenisve range of cuting and creative styling techniques.

His passion and talent for hairdressing became apparent when working in Italy for top Italian hairdressers. A young Claudio was fascinated by the way in which hair was cut and he learnt the art of 'observing and imitating.'

"In the early days I learnt the elements of hairdressing by instinct, simply because hairdressers don't tend to teach, the student merely observes and imitates. I began playing with the hair without the need of techniques which really enthused me to create different hairstyles... I can still remember how fun it was to see how my creativity developed."

Claudio left la Dolce Vita of Italy to pursue la Vie en Rose in Paris in the early nineties and began getting involved in session work, styling hair for magazines photoshoots, catwalks and fashion shows. He was fortunate to be a part of the world famous Mondial Coiffure Beaute show in Paris, which attracts in excess of 50 000 industry players. This was such a "fantastic and valuable experience for him."

His session work took him many places and he has since been involved in the London fashion week, Paris Fashion week, LA Fashion Week, working alongside top designers such as Arkadius, Borg Aksu, Annie Sophie Back, Manish Arora, and Elle4Lisa Isabelle Kristensen. Claudio has also done shoots for Miss Selfridges and a plethora of different publications such as Alef Magazine, Clam France, Clash, Cosmobellezza, Collezioni Russia, Creative Heads Ireland, Dazed and Confused, Hello, HJ, Hair's How Russia, LA'G USA Magazine, New, Sunday Times, Salon Business, Super Super magazine, Shoo, Star, Tocade Spain, The World's best hairstyles, Japan, Tramp, Vogue Russia, Viva Polska.

Being no stranger to celebrity, Claudio has styled hair for some of the most sought after supermodels, such as Sophie Anderton, Jodie Kidd, Isabell Kristensen and Lisa Butcher. He also worked with many well-known international presenters and actresses.

After settling in England and working in London as an Artistic Director for three years, Claudio has now opened his own salon, Contrasti London. With a thriving business Claudio is working on building the Contrasti brand and is looking to expand internationally, opening another salon in the USA.
